Started out in late 2010, Ghost Wave spent the best part of the following year investigated by an insurance company after their recording gear was stolen in a Christmas time robbery. The other half of the year was spent between playing various shows (including support slots for Times New Viking, The Clean, and Explosions In The Sky) and recording their EP (S/T, released on Arch Hill Recordings in New Zealand). That year also saw a steady stream of bass players playing withthe band, resulting in a final line up of Matt (gat, vox), Mike (bass, vox) and Eammon (drums). Quite simply, Ghost Wave is a rock n roll band of the highest order. Inspired by skate vids, persian rugs and the music of Little Richard, 2012 will see the release of new Ghost Wave material including a US release of their EP (+1 Records) featuring a new track, and an accompanying 7” single. A full length LP is recorded and earmarked for release in 2013.
